The accreditation recognises Tarmac’s commitment to empowering its workforce through ‘earn and learn’ initiatives, including apprenticeships, graduate schemes, and early career opportunities.
Achieving platinum status reflects Tarmac’s dedication to fostering the professional growth and development of its employees. By implementing hands-on learning programmes, we are equipping our workforce with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in their careers.
At Tarmac, a total of 721 employees are in ‘earn and learn’ positions, from a total UK workforce of 5,311 employees. This means that 13.6% of employees at the organisation are in ‘earn and learn’ roles, ensuring Tarmac’s platinum membership of The 5% Club for 2024-25.
As a proud member of The 5% Club, Tarmac joins a community of over 1,100 forward-thinking employers committed to driving positive change. Together, members of The 5% Club support 1.9 million employees, including more than 108,000 individuals engaged in ‘earn and learn’ schemes. The Employer Audit evaluates members on their efforts to promote workplace training that is inclusive, diverse, and accessible, aligning with Tarmac’s mission to create opportunities and foster an inclusive workplace culture.
