“This award is testament to everyone’s hard work in maintaining our high health and safety standards on site and in our offices.”

Andy Shuttlewood‍, HSEQ director

Tarmac has been awarded the internationally recognised RoSPA Gold award for the fifth year running, demonstrating our high health and safety standards in 2022. This award reflects our ongoing commitment to working hard to ensure employees and contractors get home safely to their families at the end of every working day.
The RoSPA Awards is one of the most prestigious and recognised health and safety schemes in the world, with almost 2,000 entries every year from more than 50 countries, and a total reach of over seven million employees. Running for nearly 70 years, it recognises and rewards organisations, individuals and teams that go above and beyond to achieve health and safety excellence.
Andy Shuttlewood, HSEQ director, said: “It’s harder than ever to be recognised for one of these awards and I believe that the work we have all done around engagement, communication, wellbeing and our safety incident improvement performance has helped us achieve a gold medal five years in a row. We want to work together to continually ensure that we improve and learn from areas where we are performing well.”
