A passion for helping people reach their full potential has led to Tarmac’s Contracting business winning multiple high-profile awards. Contracting has successfully retained its Investors in People (IiP) Gold Award, which recognises excellence around people development.
Contracting first achieved Gold status in 2012 and has now been reaccredited for maintaining continuously high standards around the approach taken to learning and development, people engagement and developing leadership and management capability. Contracting has also retained its status as an IiP Champion – allowing us to support and advise other businesses in the IiP community. Paul Fleetham, Managing Director – Contracting, said: “Our people are our most important asset. This accreditation underlines our commitment to developing our people to reach their full potential and making Tarmac Contracting a great place to work.” In addition, the Contracting business has also achieved the BS11000 standard for collaborative business relationships, a national standard that sets out a best practice framework for establishing and improving collaborative relationships, in recognition of its working partnerships with its supply chain and clients.
